WEEABOO SHOGUN PRESENTS: Special Rescue Police Winspector Episode #6

Tonight's episode of Winspector is rather creepy, featuring adults who are for some reason, compelled to act like children. The science is rather shaky, but it works. When one of Ryota's friends' parents start acting strangely, Commander Masaki realizes that it has the potential to bring ruin to society if it spreads. Several rather creepy scenes in this episode, and the villain of the week is actually quite sinister in his twisted obsession. He was a lot of fun to subtitle.

Creepers gonna creep.
Remember the scene where Hisako is pulled into the room. This is apparently someone's nightmare, because a similar scene appears in the first episode of Solbrain. Remember that scene in Ghostbusters where Dana is grabbed by the recliner and sucked into the room with the Terror Dog? I think someone else saw that and had some nightmares.

THERE IS NO HISAKO, ONLY ZUUL.
By the way, you might be interested in knowing that the song that Mrs. Nakajima is singing was an actual popular song at the time of release of this episode. The song is Sabishii Nettaigyo, by the duo Wink. It was released in 1989. Mrs. Nakajima's version is incredibly poor in comparison. I heard you can dance to it in the Japanese version of Just Dance 2, so it's still quite well known. Here's the video if you want to hear the original version.

The things that Mr. Nakajima keeps saying that I subtitled as "Bring it on!" are difficult to translate in English. "DOSUKOI!" is a sumo shout. E. Honda says it in Street Fighter. There's not really a literal translation for it as such. If you look it up in a dictionary it says something like "sumo shout".

Hope you enjoy this strange, creepy episode about a man whose ambition takes him off the deep end.
